Prolife Leader Calls Davis, Karpen, and Gosnell

“Poster Children for Abortion Violations”

 

Waco, Texas-With the recent media furor surrounding Texas lawmaker Wendy Davis and her pro-abortion filibuster that violated senate procedural rules; Houston abortionist’s Douglas Karpen’s violation of the state of Texas’ mandated informed consent law; and Philadelphia abortionist Kermit Gosnell’s health violations, abortion related violations are front and center. Are these violations isolated incidents or are they warning signs of a hidden and sinister national crisis. According Rev. • What are some of the violations you uncover in your book, Abortion Violation?

Abortion is a violator. It violates the sacred and the natural. It violates the credibility of the church and the state’s sacred trust to protect life. It violates childhood, motherhood, fatherhood, and families. It violates the medical profession and the health of women. Abortion violates everything it touches. The child in the womb is merely one victim.

The book contains fourteen chapters. Each chapter covers an area of life which abortion violates-personhood, family, law, God, true spirituality, the kingdom of God, the church, government, the medical profession, the biblical doctrine of blood guiltiness, race relations, the political left, the health of women, and our future.

• At the end of the book, you mention certain things that abortion does not violate. What are they?

There are things that abortion does not violate. But those things-things like greed, lust, selfishness, blood lust-strengthen man’s inhumanity against man. Abortion does not violate violence against women, child abuse, sexual exploitation and cover-ups, racism, breast cancer and a myriad of other health related issues. Sadly, there are a host of things abortion doesn’t violate. These are the things compassionate people want to see come to an end.

• Why did you decide to write a book on how abortion violates everything it touches?

First, I felt an obligation to pass on what I’ve learned as a minister; the Bible is the final authority on the issues of life. God speaks to the sin of abortion. The Bible reveals the consequences that await a nation that sheds innocent blood. Unfortunately, the church in America has forgotten the biblical doctrine of blood guiltiness. We lack the theology we need to end this evil.

 

What’s more, I’ve been in this battle for life for a long time, almost 25 years. I’ve been beaten, arrested, fined, imprisoned and charged with violating FACE (Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances). I’ve experienced death threats, demonic manifestations, temporary financial ruin, and libel by media outlets. I’ve been shunned by churches who found the negative press too much to endure. I’ve watched friends fail the test of time and compromise the cause for political gain. What I’ve witnessed in the battle has positioned me to warn others: Abortion violates everything it touches. I’ve seen it; I’ve experienced it; and, through the grace of God, I’ve survived to write about it.

• In your book you mention, “The doctrine of blood guiltiness.” Could you explain?

Simply put, the Christian doctrine of blood guiltiness is that innocent blood has a “voice” that cries out to God for vengeance (Genesis 4:8-11; Revelations 6:9-10). God hears the cries and exacts just punishment. In other words, the innocent blood of 56 million aborted babies will be reckoned.

 

In the Old Testament we read how God instructed the fledging nation of Israel to avoid shedding innocent blood, lest the nation suffer the same judgment as the pagan nations that surrounded them. Numbers 35:33-34 warns, “So ye shall not pollute the land wherein ye are: for blood it defileth the land: and the land cannot be cleansed of the blood that is shed therein, but by the blood of him that shed it. Defile not therefore the land which ye shall inhabit, wherein I dwell: for I the LORD dwell among the children of Israel.”

 

There are certain sins, which once they reach heaven, cause the land itself to rebel. Leviticus 18:25 reads, “The land is defiled: therefore I do visit the iniquity thereof upon it, and the land itself vomiteth out her inhabitants.” This doctrine explains the subtitle of the book. The full title reads, Abortion Violation: America’s Premier National Security Issue. There is no issue more crucial to America’s health and security, then the principle of blood guiltiness.

 

The underlying premise of the book is that God holds individuals, communities, and nations responsible for the shedding of innocent blood. We see this principle throughout Scripture. Sadly, the church in America has forgotten this truth. As a result, America is reaping the bloodshed she has sown.

• How would you describe America’s current condition, given the doctrine of blood guiltiness and the legal murder of 56 million babies?

America is experiencing God’s judgment. That is very clear. We see it on every front. The Lord placed Barack Obama as President of the United States, the most pro-abortion president in history. Unfortunately, it is not for America’s welfare. He is a sign of God’s judgment upon our nation, a nation that perverts His laws and kills His children. We see God’s judgment all around us. America’s financial house is collapsing, terrorists attack our neighborhoods, children are massacred at school, homosexuality is celebrated and codified in to law, natural disasters and accidents decimate us, and foreign enemies mock us while salivating at our weakness. I believe we are living Leviticus 18:25. The Lord is dispossessing His people.

• You have a number of chapters dedicated to Christianity, with titles like “God,” “The Kingdom of God,” and “Church.” Has abortion violated even these areas of life?

Yes, absolutely. And it’s crucial that Christians comprehend the violations. As my good friend, Father Frank Pavone, says, “To tolerate abortion in our midst is to undermine the very credibility of the Gospel and the Church.”

 

I’ll never forget the day a local preacher called me. He was an elderly African American gentleman who had recently returned from a mission trip to Africa. He asked for an opportunity to address the pro-life community while we ministered outside of our local abortion clinic. He had a message he felt compelled to share with the pro-lifers. He started by thanking us for ministering the Gospel of the Kingdom at the darkest and most demonic place in our city. He encouraged us to remain vigilant. He continued by saying that he experienced a series of rebukes from the folks in Africa, while he was ministering. They asked, “How could you come to Africa and preach the Gospel when your own nation kills their babies by abortion?” For the first time in his life, this elderly preacher came to grips with how abortion violates the integrity of the church. It’s a revelation we all need.

• In your book, you have a chapter on “Government.” You write, “Abortion betrays the sacred trust of civil government.”   Can you elaborate on this statement?

This is the central issue facing the American church today. Abortion violates the sacred trust of civil government. Therefore, if any politician or judge advocates the “pro-choice” position, they have disqualified themselves from public service. He or she is not morally or governmentally qualified to serve.

 

The primary role of civil government is to protect human life. Thomas Jefferson, the chief architect of the Declaration of Independence wrote, “The care of human life and happiness, and not their destruction, is the first and only legitimate object of good government.” This principle is found in Genesis 9:6, “Whose sheddeth man’s blood [a criminal], by man [the government] shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man.” This is the biblical institution of civil government. And what was its purpose? To protect life.

 

You have to understand the role of government. Government’s primary role is to protect human life. God is the supreme authority; civil government His delegated authority. Civil officials are ministers of God, according to Romans 13:4. According to Romans 13, proper civil government acknowledges God’s law as the standard for good and evil. Civil government is called to punish evildoers as God defines evil and protect those who are good, as God defines good. Only the law of God can define for man right or wrong, lawful versus unlawful.

 

When civil government protects evil and punishes righteousness, it abrogates its sacred duty. By decriminalizing abortion and homosexuality, our government has become a lawbreaker. If the citizens continue to obey government-sponsored evil, there comes a time when they become part of the sin. The book then addresses how Christians should respond to tyranny.

• According to Prudential Financial, “Social Security is a ‘pay-as-you-go’ program, which means that today’s workers are paying for the benefits to today’s beneficiaries through their payroll taxes. In 1940, there were 42 workers per retiree. In 1950, the ratio was 16-to-1. In 2010, there were 2.8 workers per retiree, and within 40 years, it’s projected that there will be just two workers per retiree.” At this rate, and as the population ages and life expectancies rise, the system will not be able to sustain itself. Between 54 and 56 million future taxpayers have been aborted. Abortion violates economic stability.
