The Holy Scriptures assures us that we have come into the Kingdom for such a time as this. Yes, we are the people, Montgomery, AL is the place, and the appointed time is July 11-18, 2015.
We are praying for God to record His name in Montgomery and by His Spirit bid His people come to bring the Gospel of the Kingdom to the gates of hell (Abortion mills in Alabama). They will not prevail against the Church of the living God (Matthew 16:18). They never have and they never will. Jesus is Lord!
For years, Operation Save America has stood faithfully with Chief Justice Roy Moore, a poet, warrior, statesmen. Through his many battles, we supported his righteous stands in the face of persecution and tyranny. Today, the Alabama Supreme Court led by Chief Justice Moore continues to stand against injustice and once again we are going to come alongside to help.
Moore, along with Justice Tom Parker, have rendered Decisions from the court that directly or indirectly have taken on Roe vs. Wade. Currently, Moore is acting faithfully as a Lower Magistrate to resist “Gay Marriage” in his state. He is taking another just stand and once again, we will stand with him.
Alabama is also working on establishing “Personhood” for the preborn child who is made in the image of God. Alabamians are willing to stand upon the self-evident truth established by God’s Word and we our coming to stand with them.
There are at least four death camps in Alabama still applying their grisly trade to murder babies made in the image of God. This evil defiles the land and invokes God’s judgments upon us. We are coming to stand in the gap and make up the hedge. We want to give God a reason to show mercy in the midst of the American holocaust.
During this appointed time, the salt will come out of the shaker and the light from under the bushel to love God and our neighbor as ourselves. There will be street activities each day and every night anointed rallies. Operation Save America is bringing experts in their field to address the battle for the souls of men, the lives of children, and the future of our nation. With all dispatch, we ask you to seek the Lord, fast, pray, and plan on joining us to make a stand for our King and the little ones made in His image in Jesus’ name!

How Christians can stand for life in a nation that murders its babies?

Chili for Choice Church Confrontation
All our welcome, Except Their Preborn Neighbor in the Womb
Coach Dave Duabenmire, a good friend and OSA leader from Ohio, became aware of a major betrayal against our Lord and His little ones made in His image. Saint James Episcopal Church in Wichita, Kansas, in violation of God’s holy commandment, decided to host a fundraising for Planned Parenthood. They called it, “Chili for Choice.”
A “church” raising money to seduce young people to commit sexual immorality and murder God’s babies? This spiritual treachery could not go unchallenged. A call was given at short notice and praise be to God, there were those “minute men” who were able to come.
Those who responded to the call were from all over the nation, including Ohio, Washington, California, Missouri, Oklahoma and Texas. A remnant of Christians from Wichita also participated. The Lord used this small band of good soldiers of Jesus Christ to lift up His name, preach His Word, and expose the unfruitful works of darkness savaging Wichita.

Church Service at the Gates of Hell
Our first gathering was on Saturday, January 24, at the South Wind Women’s Center, formerly Tiller the Killer’s abortion monstrosity. Women from around the world flew to Wichita to murder their babies. Tiller was a “specialist.” He performed late term abortions. During business hours, women with large bellies regularly walked through the his darkened doors of death. The babies were so large that Tiller operated an onsite incinerator. When the incinerator was burning babies, smoke billowed and ash fell from the sky in large black flakes. The stench of burning flesh chocked sidewalk counselors, preachers, prayer warriors, and those seeking to worship God in spirit and truth.
Abortions were performed with the support of local abortion rights “clergy.” After murdering babies, Tiller often allowed “parents” to take pictures of their dead children, have the local priests of Baal performed their own version of “baptism”, and then throw the remains of the babies into the fire. According to local OSA leaders, 65,000 babies were murdered on these premises. Being at this gate of hell once again was gut wrenching to say the least.
Tiller’s clinic was a high place of child sacrifice, an altar of Moloch on a global scale. It remains a rallying point for death. Because of its spiritually demonic significance, pro-abortion advocates could not allow George Tiller’s clinic to be permanently shut down. The merchants of death banded together to reopen its closed doors. Their Mecca of child sacrifice must continue at all costs. Tiller’s memory as saint and martyr must be honored.
Mindful of this history, local Christians and OSA saints gathered for a church service at this gate of hell. Brother Bruce Garren, who did a fine job preparing our way along with John Pride, MC’d the service. A precious brother in the Lord, from a local church, led us in praise and worship to our great King. John Pride read from Proverbs 24:11, 12, which states, “Deliver those who are drawn toward death, and hold back those stumbling to the slaughter. If you say, “Surely we did not know this,” does not He who weighs the hearts consider it? He who keeps your soul, does He not know it? And will He not render to each man according to his deeds?”
Afterwards, I had the privilege of introducing Coach Dave. He delivered a brief sermon. The essence of his message was to not grow weary in well doing. He warned against becoming lukewarm in the battle and growing comfortable with the holocaust. He asked God to break our hearts once again and grant us a second wind to keep fighting the good fight of faith, until this evil is no more. We concluded the service by praying for our nation, the church, and each other.
OSA Saints at a Neighborhood Awareness Campaign
We broke for lunch and some of the OSA members went to the neighborhood of Julie Burkhart with signs, information, and the proclamation of the Gospel. The awareness campaign was a success. The unfruitful works of darkness were exposed.
Memorial Service
Saturday evening, we gathered at Word of Life church. Pastor Rob Rotola has been a faithful friend to OSA and a prophetic witness for the Lord’s babies in Wichita and our nation. Pastor Rob opened the church for our service. He welcomed us with a prayer and admonished us with a passage Joshua. He quoted, “And Joshua said to the people, ‘Sanctify yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you’” (Joshua 3:5). Pastor Rob declared, “Before God can do a work through us, He must first do a work in us.” And all the saints said AMEN!
Members of Word for Life led us in an amazing time of worship. My son, Josiah (16) played the drums. Following the worship, five of our children performed a skit entitled “Seven Awful Things.” It is based upon Proverbs 6:16-19. The skit warns that one of the things that God hates are hands that shed innocent blood.
At the conclusion of the skit, bagpipes played a solemn rendition of Amazing Grace. A small white casket representing the 57,000,000 babies killed by abortion was carried to the front of the church. The saints spontaneously rose to their feet as two young girls followed slowly behind the casket, clutching a beautiful floral wreath between them. Two young flag bearers followed with the Christian flag and the American flag. After the wreath was laid on the casket, Bruce Garren offered up prayers of remembrance and repentance on the behalf of the babies murdered under our watch.
The service continued with Cal Zastrow and Brother John from Wichita proclaiming the Scriptures. Brother Cal read from Old Testament, Isaiah 1:10-20, while brother John read the parable of the Good Samaritan from New Testament, Luke 10:25-37.
John Pride spoke next and he delivered a powerful, moving testimony. He shared his heart wrenching account of bringing his girlfriend to Tiller’s for an abortion and the tragedy that followed. He thanked those who came to help Wichita in the fight to remain abortion free and apologized to those who may have been at Tillers the day he murdered his baby. He actually stepped on and stepped over God’s people to do the crime. His post-abortive girl friend became his wife. Tragically, six years after the abortion, she committed suicide. She left John to raise two sons by himself. Through these tragedies, John was gloriously saved. He exhorted us to remember that there other John Prides savaged by this battle and we can never give up on them.
When it was time for the sermon, I delivered a message entitled, “Annulling America’s Covenant of Death,” from Isaiah 28:16-18. God ‘s Word states:
Therefore thus says the Lord God: “Behold, I lay in Zion a stone for a foundation, A tried stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation; Whoever believes will not act hastily. Also I will make justice the measuring line, And righteousness the plummet; The hail will sweep away the refuge of lies, And the waters will overflow the hiding place. Your covenant with death will be annulled, And your agreement with Sheol will not stand; When the overflowing scourge passes through, Then you will be trampled down by it.
On January 22, 1973 our nation, through Roe vs. Wade, officially established a Covenant with Death. I shared God’s twofold plan to annul the covenant and break this agreement with hell. Right before God’s Word acknowledges the Covenant of Death, the Bible predicts the coming of Messiah and the Gospel of the Kingdom. Through the proclamation of the Gospel, justice becomes the measuring line and righteousness the plummet. I exhorted the church to thunder from the pulpits, in our culture, and on the streets the blessed Gospel and to stand for justice and righteousness. This is the first phase of defeating the culture of death
The second phase concerns the judgments of the Lord. Psalms 19:9b states, “The judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.” God will send an overflowing scourge to break this agreement with Sheol. It will be the combination of revival and judgment that will eventually annul the Covenant of Death.
Coach followed the sermon with an altar call that admonished Christians in Wichita to rise up and bring an end to abortion in Wichita. Coach pointed out that after the closing of Tiller’s, Wichita was abortion free. The enemy regained that territory. The church must take it back. Pastor Chris Clegg from Missouri gave the benediction.

“Nevertheless I have a few things against you, because you allow that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and seduce My servants to commit sexual immorality and eat things sacrificed to idols” (Revelations 2:20).
On Sunday morning, we visited St. James Episcopal Church. A tree is known by its fruit. A bad tree cannot produce good fruit (Matthew 7:15-20). The fruit of this church was full blown apostasy. Although the book of James exhorts us to care for the widows and orphans in their distress, St. James Episcopal raised money for Planned Parenthood to murder orphans. We went to warn them of the abominable fruit being produced by this synagogue of Satan.
We surrounded the church with graphic signs that reveal the horror of abortion that they support. Preachers faithfully delivered God’s Word over the sound system and exposed the church’s betrayal of her Lord and the little ones made in His image. Pastor Rob Rotola, Rich Hagen, Coach Dave and others exhorted the church to repent.
I preached Revelation 2:20, and asked, “Should you love and support those who hate the Lord? How can you support an evil organization that seduces young people to commit sexual immorality and baby murder? Those who name the name of Christ are supposed to depart from iniquity, not support it. The spirit operating in this ‘church’ is not the presence and the power of the Holy Spirit, but the spirit of the age, the spirit of Jezebel. ‘Reverend Mother’ Dawn Frankfurt is a wolf in sheep’s clothing leading you all astray. Come out from amongst this apostate church and be separate says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, and the Lord will receive you as His sons and daughters.”
By God’s grace, we will delivered His mail. May He watch over His word to perform it in Wichita in Jesus’ name!

LA Health Department blocks Abortions at New Orleans Planned Parenthood
“For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has enough to finish it-lest, after he has laid the foundation, and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him, saying, ‘This man began to build and was not able to finish’?” -Luke 14:28-30
Before Doc and I came to Arkansas to fast, pray, seek the Lord, and offer Him the first fruits of 2015, I had the blessing to be with Pastors, Bill Shanks and Dale Sochia, in New Orleans. We went to some of the death camps to stand in the gap. One of them was the now defunct Planned Parenthood. They have tried for quite some time to build one of their mega killing centers in the “Big Easy” and it has not gone well with them.
The place was in ruins. A fence was knocked down, the grounds were covered with grass and weeds, the foundations to pour the concrete were compromised, and their sign announcing their big plans was in tatters. While we were there we asked God to not only prevent them from every building this monstrosity, but that this project would become an albatross about their neck and it would be used to drain the wealth of their blood money. The Lord answered that prayer in fine fashion.
The local news in New Orleans announced Planned Parenthood would not be allowed to perform abortions at this proposed construction site. They receive a rejection letter last week. Praise be to God!
God is watching over His Word to perform it and answering the prayers of the saints who are in this battle to end the American holocaust. Keep pressing on saints to the high call and prize of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

God’s Law vs. Man’s Law
“These who have turned the world upside down have come here too. Jason has harbored them, and these are all acting contrary to the decrees of Caesar, saying there is another king-Jesus” (Acts 17:6, 7).
Most are aware that life is made up of a series of conflicts. The battle between good and evil rages within each human heart and it manifests without amongst men and nations. Since time memorial, war has been and continues to be a common experience that plagues our poor-fallen world. It is a constant reminder of the lust, greed, and avarice that arouse men and nations to cruelly conquer and dominate their weaker neighbors. The Apostle James reveals the source of war that plagues the sons of men:
Where do wars and fights come from among you? Do they not come from your desires for pleasure that war in your members? You lust and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and war. Yet you do not have because you do not ask. You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures. Adulterers an adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God (James 4:1-4).
R J Rushdoony helps to illuminate this battle. He wrote:
This peace, (God’s peace) however, is more than the absence of hostilities: it is peace with God. Peace with God means warfare with the enemies of God. Christ made it clear that allegiances to Him meant a sword of division (Matthew 10:34-36). In a sinful world, some warfare is inescapable. A man must therefore pick his enemies: God or sinful man? If a man is at peace with sinful men, he is at war with God. Peace in one sector means warfare in another. God alone, however, can give inner peace now, and, finally, world peace through his sovereign law (Micah 4:2).
According to our opening passage of Scripture in Acts, the battle comes down to two vital issues. Who is Lord and whose laws are to govern in the affairs of men? Who is the final authority? Is it Almighty God or Caesar? Whose laws reign? Is it the laws of flawed men, which in many cases codifies evil into law or the righteous laws of God that protects the liberty Christ died to secure for the sons of men?
Notice that the accusation against the early church that “turned the world upside down” was not “There is another Savior and He has a wonderful plan for your life.” No, the early Church suffered great persecution because the revelation of another King and the laws of His Kingdom that burned brightly through their lives. His decrees were contrary to Caesar. This was the clear and present danger to the political tyrants and religious oppressors of their day.
We must remember as well that Rome was not threatened religiously by the new sect called Christianity. They were threatened politically. There was religious freedom under Roman occupation. You could worship the god of your choice. Every land, nation, and tribe that Rome conquered, however, was required to pledge a civil and religious loyalty oath to Caesar.
Caesar demanded that every knee bow and every tongue confess that he was Lord. It was the full manifestation of emperor cult worship that flourished under pagan rule. Not only did Caesar demand lawful submission to civil authority, but a pinch of incense to honor his deity. Christians whose conscience was bound to the Lordship of Christ could not cross this idolatrous line. They courageously maintained their worshipful allegiance that belonged to God alone. Subsequently, many died because of their refusal to worship Caesar.
Tragically, the Jews of the day submitted to this idolatry. Though they were free to worship Jehovah in the temple, once they left the temple, however, they were forced to confess “Caesar is Lord!” Did they do so willingly? God’s Word testifies in the affirmative. When it came to the revelation of the Kingship of Jesus Christ John 19:15 states, “But they cried out, away with him, away with him, crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Shall I crucify your King? The chief priests answered, “We have no king but Caesar.” Man is still faced with this choice today.
If Jesus is not the rightful Sovereign King and His law not binding upon all men and nations at all times, then men are left with two failed options. The state is therefore king, which has led historically to unprecedented murderous regimes that crushed the people they claimed to serve, or the individual is sovereign which inevitably leads to chaos, confusion, and anarchy.
Only One Nation under God can secure the delicate tension between authority and liberty. Only One Nation under God can provide a proper social order on one hand with maximum individual freedom on the other hand. There is no other worldview or faith that can accomplish this upon earth.
Laws of a Nation Reveal the gods of a Nation
The laws that govern societies reveal the gods worshipped by nations. Any person, religion, philosophy, institution, court, or group who assumes final authority and arbitrator of good and evil, have taken unto themselves the status of godhood. In that sense, all men and nations adopt a theocratic position, which in most cases reinforces the Fall of man. They enable the lie Satan passed to our first parents.
Genesis 3:1-5 reveals the masterful con job perpetrated by the Evil One:
Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’?” And the woman said to the serpent, “We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden; but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, ‘You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.'” Then the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die. For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil” (Genesis 3:1-5)
Notice the subtle attack of the enemy. He did not directly take on God nor even man for that matter. He went after the revealed Word, will, and way of the Lord. He called God’s commandment into question. Doubts arise, do they not? It certainly did in the case of Eve, whom the Bible states was deceived, Adam, however, sinned.
Eve’s response to Satan’s temptation is telling. It was the first recorded case of legalism. God said, “Do not eat, lest you die.” Eve added to God’s commandment, “nor shall you touch it.” On the spot, she manufactured her own man-made tradition. This produced the Forbidden Fruit syndrome that plagues mankind to this day. The more man tries to work holiness from the outside in, through religious rules, the more evil entices and enslaves men’s soul.
It is this dilemma that Jesus addressed in His day. He stated:
Thus you have made the commandment of God of no effect by your tradition. Hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy about you, saying: “These people draw near to Me with their mouth,and honor Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me. And in vain they worship Me,teaching as doctrines the commandments of men” (Matthew 15:6-9).
The next suggestion by Satan exposes the battle between God’s authority and law vs. man’s pursuit of autonomy. It is this deception that convinces unregenerate men to be a law and god unto themselves. Satan declared, “For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”
Satan was not offering them the understanding of knowing the concepts of good and evil. No, his deceptive proposal was for them to reject the objective truth of God and His Law and to determine for themselves subjectively what was good and evil to them. No need to obey God when you can replace Him and become a law and god unto yourself. This reveals the source of conflict between God’s Law vs. man’s law that rages to this day.
God’s Negative Law vs. Man’s Positive Law
God’s laws are negative in nature. Most of God’s commands commence with “Thou Shalt Not!” Though negative in nature, they are the bulwark of liberty. They are the embankments that keep the river of freedom flowing properly. Remove the embankments and liberty becomes licentiousness, which invariably results in tyranny. Self-government, under God, remains the key to liberty.
Man’s attempts at law, however, are positive in nature. Government declares, “Thou shalt” with taxes, license fees, and regulatory fines attached to increase government’s scope of power. Positive laws subject citizens to the dictates of government, which typically curtails their freedom already granted to them by God.
The Declaration of Independence touched on this dilemma. Our Founding Fathers articulated that our liberties originated with God and government’s purpose was to protect our God-given rights. Statists, on the other hand, use positive law to control its citizens. It is this fabricated law system that has diminished our liberty in recent decades.
G K Chesterton stated it well, “If man will not subject himself to the Ten Commandments of God, he will be made subject to the ten thousand commandments of men.” Subsequently, the removal of the Ten Commandments from the public life of our nation did not serve to make America more free. It actually increased the size and scope of the Federal beast.
The historian from antiquity, Cornelius Tacitus, concurs, “The more corrupt the state, the more numerous the laws.” Review all the laws on the books that micro-manage American life today to affirm the veracity of these statements. If added up, all the regulations, licenses, and bureaucratic policies would tower over our heads. If they physically fell upon us, the mere weight would crush us to powder. The lesson is clear. Rebellion against God, the breaking of his bonds and the severing of his cords does not make us free (Psalm 2). It leads to increased bondage and civil despotism. In this, the historical admonishment rings true, “Those who will not be ruled by God, will be ruled by tyrants.”
Besides these realities, God did not give his laws to make men good. He established his laws to restrain evil and to protect the life, liberty, and property of His creatures. Spiritually, He established His law as a tutor to lead depraved men to his Son to partake of His great salvation (Galatians 3:24).
Man’s view of law seeks to force men to be “good,” by restricting their liberty. In other words, secularists do not reject the notion of salvation. They just reject God’s version of redemption. Man can still be “perfected” by keeping their laws and public policies. This is why leftists gravitate toward seats of power. They must capture the sword of civil government to implement their plan to “save” the world through their positive laws. Thus, citizens are reduced to mere guinea pigs in their grand social experiment to establish their secular version of Utopia.
Christians rightly reject these despotic notions. Man’s salvation only comes by grace through faith in our Lord Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:8, 9). Acts 4:12 affirms this truth, “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name (Jesus Christ) under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”
Is Law a Fixed Eternal Standard or Evolutionary in Nature?
Darwinism not only corrupted the study of biology and provided the intellectual justification for genocide, the theory spread to subvert the law itself. As a legal theorist and Supreme Court Justice, Oliver Wendell Holmes, became infatuated with Darwin and his evolutionary theory. He, along with a few like-minded jurists in the early twentieth century, expanded evolutionary “science” to influence the discipline of law.
Holmes was one of the first who sought to remove the transcendent understanding of law. Holmes emphasized man’s experience and circumstances, rather than a fixed standard, as the basis for law. To him, truth was relative, not absolute. Holmes did not want our system of law to derive its basis from divine law. That outdated social construct had run its course as far as Holmes was concerned. A new “enlightened” social construct was in order, one that was based on an evolving view of law.
Eventually, this novel judicial mind-set influenced other adjudicators in our nation to view our Constitution as a “living” document rather than a fixed standard for the rule of law. Holmes believed legal principles should develop and adapt to man’s progress. Though probably not intentional, he ended up fulfilling Thomas Jefferson’s worse fears when it came to the judiciary. Thomas Jefferson warned, “The constitution, on this hypothesis, is a mere thing of wax in the hands of the judiciary, which they may twist and shape into any form they please.”
The concept of law promoted by Holmes is known as legal positivism. Legal positivism implies the law does not need to have an ethical basis. In other words, it is not necessary for law to have a moral foundation. Holmes was a hardcore pragmatist. Absolute truth, righteousness, or morality was none of his concern. All that mattered was “what works” as men evolve.
It is this betrayal against God’s law as the foundation of man’s law that moved American jurisprudence to adopt legal positivism. It supplanted Blackstone’s “law of nature (eternal laws of good and evil) and the law of revelation, found only in the Scriptures” as the basis for human law. Interestingly enough, until the mid 1800s competent lawyers in the defense of American liberty thoroughly studied Sir William Blackstone’s, Commentaries on the Laws of England. In 1870, however, a major paradigm shift in the concept of law occurred.
Christopher Columbus Langdell, dean of the Harvard Law School, embarked on a campaign of judicial reform. The “reform” Langdell birthed made him the father of the current “case method” legal model. The case method uses the study of man’s experience, previous court cases, and prior judge’s rulings as the basis for “law.”
Starting with Langdell and proceeding to Holmes, American law was divorced from God and morality. Thus, Blackstone fell to the wayside. The law became the study of human court decisions and precedent based upon fallible men, instead of the infallible standard of God’s Law. It became an evolving concept rather than a fixed, transcendent, eternal standard based upon the moral commandments of Almighty God.
Conclusion of the Matter
“Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep His commandments, For this is man’s all. For God will bring every work into judgment, Including every secret thing, whether good or evil” (Ecclesiastes 12:13, 14).
Previously, Sir William Blackstone was mentioned. This is what he believed about the relationship between God’s Law and man’s law, “Upon these two foundations, the law of nature (the eternal laws of good and evil) and the law of revelation (found only in the scriptures), depend all human laws. That is to say, no human laws should be allowed to contradict these.” In other words, any human law that is not rooted in these two underlying premises for law is no law at all.
More recently, Martin Luther King Jr. affirmed this truth. He gave this apologetic on law:
There are two types of law: just and unjust. I would be the first advocate obeying just laws. One has not only a legal but a moral responsibility to obey just laws. Conversely, one has a moral responsibility to disobey unjust laws. I would agree with St. Augustine that ‘an unjust law is no law at all.’ Now what is the difference between the two? How does one determine whether a law is just or unjust? A just law is a man made code that squares with the moral law or the law of God. An unjust law is a code that is out of harmony with the moral law. To put it in the terms of St. Thomas Aquinas: An unjust law is a human law that is not rooted in eternal law and natural law.
We have a national holiday and many streets named after this preacher who believed such things in his day. America has rejected this premise in our day and the fruit of our rebellion is ripe unto decay. Psalms 2 reminds us who the true Lawgiver is and He sends a warning to men and nations:
Now therefore, be wise, O kings; Be instructed, you judges of the earth. Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, and you perish in the way, when His wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him.

History Lesson: Anarchy Leads to Tyranny
People ought to be governed from within by Biblically based personal morality. The terrifying alternative is external control by tyrants.
“Because of the transgression of a land, many are its princes; But by a man of understanding and knowledge right will be prolonged” (Proverbs 28:2).
Since Obama came to power, some have thought it was only a matter of time before his Anti-American policies created civil unrest. Has it come to pass? You be the judge. No doubt, through a series of imposed calamities, his political and ideological goals march on, for the most part, uncontested. It seems his “government by emergency” operations are working just fine as chaos, confusion, and demoralization “slouches us towards Gomorrah.”
Others suspect that certain Communist, Islamic, and Socialist influences of his administration are purposely exploiting Ferguson, MO and the incident in New York City to stoke racial hatred to further divide our nation. What would be the end game to such a conspiracy? Merely, the implementation of martial law and the coronation of King Obama. Whether or not these concerns are real remains to be seen. One thing for sure, however, we are in the midst of relearning a major historical lesson, which is, anarchy leads to tyranny.
In our opening passage from the book of wisdom, Proverbs, we glean insight to this historical phenomenon. When a nation becomes lawless, it automatically creates a bureaucratic blob that crushes freedom. Why, because a lawless people that promotes anarchy lose the moral fortitude to correctly handle their freedom. Self government is the key to liberty.
To think one can turn liberty to licentiousness and avoid tyranny is the height of foolishness. Once the ancient landmarks of morality and Biblical ethics are removed, nations spin out of control and only an increase of centralized power can return order. It comes at a high price, however, as the darkness of oppression dims the true light of liberty.
For several decades, America has gone in this frivolous direction entertained by bread and circuses. It just happens that we are witnessing a more overt manifestation in the Obama administration. As our nation moves from a free nation towards statism or “government as god” ideology, we are rejecting the foundation of our nation and the roots that nourished our freedom.
True to form, a nation that takes this dangerous course also ends up calling good/evil and evil/good. Isaiah 5:20 states there is a woe associated with this moral confusion, “Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!”
As the current headlines reveal, this ethical bewilderment has now fallen upon our institutions that are ordained of God to protect and serve. Based upon the unfortunate circumstances in Ferguson, MO and New York City that highlighted the death of black men at the hands of white cops, our nation has become embroiled in yet another racial divide. To the point, protestors in New York City shout “What do we want?” The sickening reply “Dead cops!” “When do we want it?” They want it “NOW!” Tragically, they got what they wanted as another deranged Islamic Jihadist executed two NYC police officers in cold blood. Sadly, the protesters cheered.
This tragedy has not happened in a void. America has become a godless nation. Our moral compass no longer points true north. Thus, it should come as no surprise that people think abortion is good, while saving lives to some is considered criminal. Sodomy is good, while those who oppose it based upon Biblical grounds are evil. Where has this duplicity led us? Now, we stand in awkward amazement that a segment of our citizens actually think cops are bad and thugs are good. On and on it goes. When will this end? Either we experience a heaven sent revival that leads us back on the sure foundation of Biblical morality or we will continue to collide with God’s righteous judgments.
Martin Luther stated, “Every institution of men not increasingly occupied with the Word of God must become corrupt.” The prophet Hosea would agree with this assessment. He declared:
Hear the word of the LORD, You children of Israel, For the LORD brings a charge against the inhabitants of the land: “There is no truth or mercy or knowledge of God in the land. By swearing and lying, Killing and stealing and committing adultery, They break all restraint, with bloodshed upon bloodshed. Therefore the land will mourn (Hosea 4:1-3a).
God used the prophet Hosea as His prosecuting attorney to bring charges against the nation of Israel. Notice the order and its consequences. Remove truth, mercy, and the knowledge of God from the land and lawlessness, immorality, and violence will defile a nation as it plunges into moral anarchy. Subsequently, the nation will fall into despair, sorrow, and mourning. Are we not observing this pattern in our day?
Our government has systematically removed the knowledge of God from the public life of our nation. Thus, it is no mere coincidence that our culture mistakenly believes good is evil and evil is good. Nature abhors a vacuum. As our nation commits moral anarchy by decriminalizing abortion, sodomy, and other evils, cultural and governmental anarchy has come in its bloody, perverted wake.
Robert Winthrop, Congressman in the 1800s, revealed:
All societies of men must be governed in some way or other. The less they may have of stringent State Government, the more they must have of individual self-government. The less they rely on public law or physical force, the more they must rely on private moral restraint. Men, in a word, must necessarily be controlled, either by a power within them, or by a power without them; either by the Word of God, or by the strong arm of man; either by the Bible, or by the bayonet.
Obviously, our nation rejects this wisdom today. The inmates are now running the asylum. What can we do in light of this moral treason that is leading to tyranny? First, I would recommend we repent of our personal, church, and national sins. Second, though there may be some bad apples in law enforcement, like there are in all groups, including clergy, we should pray for our police, military, firefighters, first responders, state, and local officials.
Afterwards, we should go to encourage them personally. They need to be thanked for putting themselves in harm’s way, many times for an ungrateful citizenry. Keep in mind, some citizens actually rejoice when they die sacrificially fulfilling their duty to protect and serve. In so doing, we should remember the words of our Lord, “Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends” (John 15:13).
Third, it would be good to help our first responders to become familiarized with the Lower Magistrate Doctrine. In essence, the teaching of this doctrine declares that when a superior civil authority, such as our federal government, makes unjust/immoral decrees, the lesser authority, such as, a governor of a state or a sheriff on a county level, has the right to refuse all unlawful orders. If pushed by the higher authority, the lesser magistrate has the duty to actively resist tyranny in order to protect the life, liberty, and property of those they swore an oath to serve.
Much of our federal government is infested with corruption. There are those who thrive over social unrest. They know this will increase centralized, governmental control over the free citizens of America. This is where the Lower Magistrate Doctrine is indispensable. Inspiring Governors, Sheriffs, and other first responders to say no to the federal beast to safeguard the life, liberty, and property of American citizens is now necessary for our national survival. If they refuse to do so, there is only one way this will end. Those who shout for dead cops will not be able to live with what they believe, advocate, or support.
