OSA Leadership Meeting Report 2015

Elijah Ministries

“To make ready a people prepared for the Lord.”  (Luke 1:17)
Dear Champion of the Lord and the Preborn,

The Thomas Nation just returned home from the Operation Save America’s Leadership Meeting in New Orleans. The saints once again put on the armor of God and stormed the gates of hell (The 2 last remaining death camps in the New Orleans area). They will not prevail against the Church of the living God.

The theme of this leadership meeting came from Matthew 13:52, which states, “Then He said to them, ‘Therefore every scribe instructed concerning the kingdom of heaven is like a householder who brings out of his treasure things new and old.'”

We examined that which is old, our heritage and history, worth preserving and that which is new worth pursuing. We went through this process to cast a vision for our future. The purpose was to encourage, inspire, and equip OSA as we move forward in serving our Lord effectually through this ministry.

First, we first traced our heritage and history, the old treasure, which is summed up in our vision statement. This particular statement was forged through blood, sweat, and tears. It serves as a great reminder of who we are in Christ, what he has calls us to do, and the manner in which we are to represent his heart and message towards his helpless children being devoured by the American holocaust.

OSA VISION STATEMENT

Operation Save America unashamedly takes up the cause of preborn children in the name of Jesus Christ. We employ only biblical principles. The Bible is our foundation; the Cross of Christ is our strategy; the repentance of the Church of Jesus Christ is our ultimate goal. As the Church changes its heart toward unborn children, God Himself will hear from heaven, forgive our sin, and bring healing to our land. We believe that Jesus Christ is the only answer to the abortion holocaust. It is upon our active repentance in the streets of our cities that the Gospel is visibly lived out. We become to the church, to our city, and to our nation living parables which rightly represent God’s heart toward His helpless children.

Some of the old treasure also revealed the prophetic mantle that the Lord placed upon OSA to obey. Jeremiah 23:22 states, “But if they had stood in My counsel, and had caused My people to hear My words, then they would have turned them from their evil way and from the evil of their doings.” By God’s grace, we will continue to keep this prophetic edge as we place the Lord’s trumpet to our mouths and sound the alarm. Our call to individuals, our culture, and nation is to prayerfully fulfill Isaiah 55:7, which declares, “Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him return to the Lord, and He will have mercy on him; And to our God, for He will abundantly pardon.”

With the change of leadership, obviously, there comes other changes as well. We discussed different opportunities to apply our foundational vision statement. Thus, we sought “new treasures from God’s Kingdom” that could help us to become more effectual in the battle.

EQUIPPING

“For the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ” (Ephesians 4:12).

As we moved on to the new, I shared two things, “We must guard our strengths and shore up our weaknesses. We must keep our prophetic edge, but temper it with pastoral equipping of the saints.”

Let me explain. For the last couple of years through some open doors, our message has gone out into other ministries, churches, and pro-life groups. It resonated and people responded by joining the battle. It was not long before all heck broke through in their lives. They heard the prophetic call, but were not adequately equipped to handle the battle from within or from without. In those years, many have contacted us needing help to cope and overcome the retaliation that exploded in their lives. In response, we wrote the Field Manual for Abortion Ministry. Many have benefited from the insights that revealed the reality of spiritual warfare that increased as Christians dared to touch Satan crown jewel, which is child sacrifice and the shedding of innocent blood.

When we call our brethren into the battle prophetically, we also need to equip them better spiritually to recognize and overcome the wiles of the Evil One. We do not want new recruits of good soldiers of Jesus Christ to implode. We must try to help them avoid some of the errors we made in this battle for souls, the lives of children, and the future of our nation.

DISCIPLESHIP

The second part of equipping is to replace ourselves by discipling and mentoring this next generation. Look around, we are not getting any younger. Some of our beloved brethren have already gone on to their eternal reward. We have have a duty before God to duplicate what he has invested in us and faithfully pass it to those coming after us. King David was a good example of this duty before God. Psalms 71:17: 18 states, “O God, You have taught me from my youth; And to this day I declare Your wondrous works. Now also when I am old and grayheaded, O God, do not forsake me, Until I declare Your strength to this generation, Your power to everyone who is to come.”

David committed himself to understand his place in redemptive history and pledged to fulfill the continuum, past, present, and future. The book of Acts declared that he was successful. Acts 13:36 states, “For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God, fell asleep, was buried with his fathers, and saw corruption.”

Every movement inspired by God had two marks that insured successful transitions. Churches reflected the truth of God’s Word demanded under their watch and Christians successfully passed it on to the next generation.

Our Pilgrim fathers and mothers understood this commitment. Governor Bradford wrote, “Lastly, (and which was not the least), a great hope and inward zeal they had of laying some good foundation, or at least to make some way thereunto, for the propagating and advancing of the kingdom of Christ in those remote parts of the world; yea, though they should be but even as stepping-stones unto others for the performing of so great a work.”

There is a Christian song that sums up this heartfelt truth. It is called, “May All Who Come Behind Us Find Us Faithful.” The words capture the essence of this Kingdom endeavor, “Let those who come behind us find us faithful, may the fire of our devotion light their way.  May the foot prints that we leave, lead them to believe and the lives we live inspire them to obey.”

RESTORATION

Galatians 6:1 declares, “Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted.”

In this battle, when we give the prophetic call to engage this enemy and seek to defeat his crown jewel, child sacrifice, there will be causalities. Some of us have been wounded and by God’s grace continue to fight the good fight. Many, however, have fallen. Some fell by their own sin, some by the attack of the enemy, and some by friendly fire. Regardless, there are many who were once in the battle whose lives are shipwrecked.

In stating these scenarios, God forbid we should allow unrepentant sin to run rampant in OSA or to invite wolves in sheep’s clothing to commit evil against the lambs and sheep we have the honor to serve.

We must be vigilant in this matter. However, is there not also a responsibility to fulfill Apostle Paul’s admonishment to consciously restore brethren who have fallen in battle, whose lives imploded, and are willing to repent and be restored? Many have started well and failed along the way. Should we not seek to help them end well in Jesus’ name?

The classic example of this restoration process is discovered 1 and 2 Corinthians. An individual had fallen into gross sin. Paul commanded him kicked out of the church and turned over to Satan for the destruction of his flesh that his soul might be saved. When the individual repented, however, Paul commanded that he be restored and place in right standing with God and the church. We should do no less, if the situation warrants it.

LET JUSTICE ROLL

“But let justice roll down as waters, and righteousness as a mighty stream” (Amos 5:24)

While at our leadership meeting, we discussed our national event in Montgomery, AL. Through the wonders of technology, we were able to set up a Skype meeting. Ben Dupre, who is the Chief of Staff to Chief Justice Roy Moore, was able to address our gathering. Brother Ben is our local contact helping to prepare our way for our national event. He welcomed us to come, made known the opportunities, and encouraged us in the battle. We were grateful. Prayerfully, Chief Justice Roy Moore will be one of our featured speakers at one of our rallies. You will not want to miss his address.

One of the challenges going into Alabama is bringing different elements involved in our coming and consolidating them into one concise vision statement. We believe we achieved it through the phrase, “Let Justice Roll.” We intend on utilizing the powerful imagery associated with the University of Alabama football team’s slogan, which is “Roll Tide.” This will help make the needed connection with Alabamians that can help highlight our message. We are currently working on our newest T-shirt to promote the idea.

There are other elements as well. Obviously, “Let Justice Roll” applies to the remaining death camps defiling Alabama. Plus, there is the legal challenge Chief Justice Roy Moore is enmeshed in once again as he seeks to defend God’s institution of marriage against the federal beast doing the bidding of the homosexual agenda. We desire Chief Justice to “roll” in that matter.

Alabama was also one of the centers of the civil rights struggle seeking to bring justice and equality for our black brethren back in the day. Though we deal with a different evil, the underlying Biblical principles remain the same. We intend to connect the dots as we extend “Black Lives Matter” to the abortion holocaust that has led to black genocide. Amos 5:24 was one of the theme Scriptures preached by Martin Luther King Jr. to address the evil of discrimination and the injustice of Jim Crow laws. Ironically, the Southern Poverty Law Center, a God hating organization that identifies Christians as hate mongers are located in Montgomery. They have this passage they attribute to King on a monument outside their office. There will be more on “Let Justice Roll” in the coming days. We covet your prayers as we move forward.

STATES OF REFUGE WAVE

Part of the “new treasures of the Kingdom” was our different campaigns OSA will seek to implement this new year. With the advent of Bishop Otis Kenner agreeing to become our OSA leader to reach the black church in America, good fruit is already being produced. As a result, the “Operation: Let My People Go” campaign is in full swing.

The second campaign we discussed is the States of Refuge. At the leadership meeting, we decided to create a wave impact that will focus different ministries to come to Mississippi to confront the last remaining death camp defiling this state. We remain hopeful that God will grant us soon the first surgical abortion free state in America.

The first group, AHA, will come in from March 26-29, 2015. On the heels of them leaving, OSA will come marching in from March 30-April 2nd. We plan on doing Word in Warfare that unsheathes the sword of the Spirit to pluck up, root out, and overthrow the altar of Molech. The following week, Jason Storms, our new campus leader in OSA, will lead another charge and besiege the “Pink House” death camp in Jackson, MS.

Lastly, in our fall States of Refuge campaign, we decided to all converge at the last remaining surgical abortion mill in Missouri this Fall. From September 16-20, OSA will converge in St. Louis to bring the Gospel of the Kingdom against the gates of hell, the local Planned Parenthood. I pray you will consider participating and supporting our work in Jackson, Mississippi, Montgomery, Alabama, and St. Louis, MO this year in Jesus’ name! Thank you!

OSA Bible Reading Schedules

OSA has the 2015 Bible Reading Schedules available. We are working on posting them on our websites: www.operationsaveamerica.org, http://elijahmin.com, and http://statesofrefuge.org.  If you desire a hard copy, contact me with your address and I’ll send them in the mail. Setting up the family altar and leading your family daily in the Word of God will be a great way to start and finish 2015.

I had the great joy to talk with David Benham today about the release of the Benham Brother’s first book. They have received heavy weight endorsements that you can check out on the website below.

Thomas Nelson is the publisher. For first time authors, this is a miraculous occurrence. Typically, you have to be financially viable and have strong name recognition for Thomas Nelson to publish someones first book. God has so blessed these young men to achieve this status on the first publication.

Here is the deal. If they do well on the pre-orders, it will place them on the New York Times best sellers list. Those who make it to that level are considered the top 5000 influential people in America. I do not know about you, but we should do everything we can to make sure the godly influence of these young men in our nation is secure.

Please take the time to visit their website and pre-order their book. It will be a great gift for those seeking to honor the Lord in the midst of our perverse and crooked nation.

Their website is: http://whateverthecost.com

On the website there are two links to order the book – Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

The message of the book is “NOW is the time to stand boldly for Jesus whatever the cost!”  I agree! The time to turn our nation around is short. It’s time to die to ourselves, pick up our cross, and follow hard after our Lord.

If you all believe in this message, you can support the Benhams by buying the book. It’s $17 until the release date on February 10. Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year in God’s Kingdom.

Field Manual for Abortion Ministry

In the Field Manual for Abortion Ministry, Reverend Rusty Lee Thomas asks: “Does your heart break for the plight of the preborn child, made in the image of God? Does God’s Word convict you to intervene, love your neighbor as yourself, be your brother’s keeper, speak for those who cannot speak for themselves, and rescue those unjustly sentenced to death (Matthew 22:39; Genesis 4:9; Proverbs 31:8, 9; Proverbs 24:11, 12)? Are you living out your faith at the gates of hell, the place of child sacrifice and the shedding of innocent blood?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, Rev. Thomas, one of the premier leaders in the effort to end abortion, wants to welcome you to what he describes as “the battle.”

The Field Manual will open your eyes to the horror of abortion and inspire actions informed by faith, hope, and charity to bring the message of Christ to those in need.

If any of you still want a hard copy or copies, send me back your address. There is no charge. Donations are accepted for shipping and handling. Once you read it, if you find any merit, please pass on this offer to others. Let the Gentle Revolution continue in Jesus’ name!

The Problem with Evil

Men who are bound by the Fall claim to have a problem with evil. Evolutionists, humanists, Communists, atheists, and some agnostics are chief among them. On the one hand, they deny the concept of evil, which reinforces their “philosophy of meaninglessness.” On the other hand, they incorporate the concept of evil to deny the existence of God.

They argue, if God is all good and all powerful, how could evil exist? How can God be all good and allow evil in the world? How can he be all powerful and not stop it? According to them, because evil exists, he cannot be both, all good and all powerful, therefore he does not exist.

They deny he exists and yet spend much of their time hating and denouncing him. Why fight someone who is not there? It seems like an exercise in futility. G. K. Chesterton commenting on this bewildering plight of atheists stated, “If there was no God, there would be no atheists.”

Biblically, however, God’s word assures us that deep down all men, including atheists, know he is there. In fact, that is one of God’s names, Jehovah Shammah, the Lord who is there. What is the real issue? Though they know he is there, they suppress the truth in unrighteousness. They merely love their sin more than they love God (2 Timothy 3:4).

Unregenerated men deceive themselves into thinking they will not be held accountable to God. Psalms 10:13 states, “Why do the wicked renounce God? He has said in his heart, ‘You will not require an account.’” Moreover, they boast, “The Lord does not see, nor does the God of Jacob understand” (Psalms 94:7). They mistakenly think, “With our tongue we will prevail; Our lips are our own; Who is lord over us” (Psalms 12:4).  Romans 1:18-20 describes their “state of denial” predicament:

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse.

Is there a problem with evil? Yes, but if the truth be known, we do not really have a problem with evil, as much as we have a problem with God. We sin, suffer the consequences of evil, and then rail against the heavens. Proverbs 19:3 explains, “The foolishness of a man twists his way, and his heart frets against the Lord.”

Furthermore, there is no darkness; there is no variation or shadow of turning in God (1 John 1:5; James 1:17). It is impossible for him to lie (Hebrews 6:18). In other words, there is no evil, darkness, or deceit in God nor does he tempt man to commit evil. He is holy, righteous, and just in all his sayings and doings (Psalms 19:9). The Judge of the earth always does what is right (Genesis 18:25) He is “Totally Other.”

The Apostle James reveals how evil manifests in the earth. James 1:13-15 states:

Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone. But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death.

Part of the problem with evil stems from man’s resentment against the integrity of God. God means what he says. Jesus encouraged men to have this kind of integrity. He taught, “But let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No,’ ‘No.’ For whatever is more than these is from the evil one” (Matthew 5:37).

In the beginning, God warned Adam and Eve not to sin or else they would die. Satan convinced them otherwise. They paid no heed, went their own way, and reality hit them like a ton of brick. Who told the truth that corresponded with reality? Thus, sinful man has been left seeking to justify himself at the expense of God’s integrity ever since.

How did Jesus deal with the problem with evil? Luke 13:1-5 grants insight:

There were present at that season some who told Him about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices. And Jesus answered and said to them, “Do you suppose that these Galileans were worse sinners than all other Galileans, because they suffered such things? I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish. Or those eighteen on whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed them, do you think that they were worse sinners than all other men who dwelt in Jerusalem? I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish.

Why does bad things happen to good people? In every tragedy known to men, this question gnaws at us. If you ask the wrong question, however, you will not receive a satisfactory answer. Those who questioned Jesus about the atrocity concerning Pilate murdering and mingling the blood of his victims with his pagan sacrifices were, in essence, asking this question.

Jesus’ response is illuminating. He did not countenance the question. First, there is no such thing as a “good” person. All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). Besides, both Old and New Testament present this assessment that reveals the true condition of men:

As it is written: There is none righteous, no, not one; There is none who understands; There is none who seeks after God. They have all turned aside; They have together become unprofitable; There is none who does good, no, not one.” “Their throat is an open tomb; With their tongues they have practiced deceit”; “The poison of asps is under their lips”; “Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness.”  “Their feet are swift to shed blood;  Destruction and misery are in their ways; And the way of peace they have not known.” “There is no fear of God before their eyes” (Romans 3:10-18).

Second, Jesus responded with his own question, “Do you suppose that these Galileans were worse sinners than all other Galileans, because they suffered such things?” It was a rhetorical question that Jesus used to declare, “I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish.”  These people asked Jesus the wrong question. The true question should be, “Why do good things happen to bad people?” Why does the sun shine on the evil and the good? Why does the rain fall on the just and the unjust (Matthew 5:45)? In essence, Jesus was encouraging them to redirect their questions, “How come you escaped being murdered? Why was not your blood mingled with the sacrifice? How come the tower did not fall on you, etc.?” If we ask these kinds of questions, perhaps, it will lead to the response that has the power to save, heal, and deliver our souls. It will guide us to an answer that reveals God’s gracious offer that none should perish, but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9).
